When the scope with its massive fork was mounted on its C8/C11 wedge and heavy duty tripod, it weighed 75 lbs. I was 47 years old when I purchased it, and it wasn't a problem for me back then. If you do the math, I'm in my 70's now, and it simply became too much for me to handle.
